As many of you already know, there are already three years Mornico we moved to Lausanne, in a small town Oltrepò Pavese. Situated atop one of the first hills south of Milan is set in a bucolic landscape, surrounded by vineyards, castles and forests. The view is breathtaking!
The restoration of this old house of 1900 goes on, slowly, each year a bit more. We have two beautiful labs comfortable spot, where to create and teach, a cozy apartment, a fantastic panoramic terrace where you can eat outdoors and enjoy the fresh and the view. The last
were we had the pleasure of welcoming home some of the students from all over the world, has been a fantastic experience. This year we bed in a few more!

Meet Mornico to participate in the workshops is not only a technique to gather information but it has become partakers of my world, understand the essence of my work, meet the glass and discover a thousand secrets, and even have a real sensory experience . Here the air smells of the flowers of the valley, the wind carries delicious aromas throughout the summer. The large terrace opens up to the hills as a backdrop. The entire area is full of history, castles and Romanesque monuments.
During the day off or after school, you can visit the old cellars of the area, The taste fantastic wines that give us these hills. There are lots of things to see around, like the magnificent Certosa di Pavia, the poetry or the abbey of St. Albert and Salice Terme di Rivanazzano and many festivals and summer parties where you can taste delicious ravioli and drink the red and move Bonarda .
My laboratories are well equipped, comfortable and suitable to house students.
The course price includes all necessary materials and a delicious lunch during class days.
The menu will be different every day, with healthy foods and simple, authentic and exclusively with local products.
We can offer hospitality in our house, we built a large apartment that some students can share, you can also stay two houses in the village, very pretty.
The rooms are single, but the bathrooms are shared.

Description: Light-Painting "means" Painting with Light. " The great artist Narcissus Quagliata
, my teacher, defined in this way the technique was created to translate the glass in her amazing drawings and watercolors. Using frit (crushed glass in different sizes) and glass yarn, there can be infinite number of images, highly controlled, fascinating and unique, as if we using glass as a painter uses color pure.
During these five days, we will learn how to use tested compatible glass frit, the particularity of glass and colors available, the problems concerning the reactions of colors, curves and multi-specific cooking Cotura. Description: The first day of the technique is introduced, we describe the image to construct and you choose and prepare the fries and the threads of glass that we would use to create the image to get the best possible definition. Starting with a winter woodland (image chosen by me for educational reasons), students will learn how to "translate" image of landscape in the glass with the glass giving it even optical depth. I will show you the primary process used to create my works. Will be fried and used Bullseye glass plates during the entire process to create the landscape. Wires will be made and "stringers" of glass using the oven Vitrograph, you will work with low-intensity fires to model wires and details to be used in the piece. Description: This course is dedicated to people who have the desire to learn the secrets of dl glass in the oven. The techniques are grouped under the term "fusing" are many but all are summarized in the word "thermo-formed" means that when we heat the glass to make it nearly so much fluid, you open a fascinating world where the front glass "becomes "materializing our imaginations in a multitude of possible objects. Description: Students will explore methods to create special effects and surprising results from the processes of merger plan, to think in "fusing" with no limitations due to machine or image. Description: Some images require a combination of different processes to be translated into glass and are very difficult. The first floor apartment has two single bedrooms, full kitchen as the other, two balconies and a bathroom.

The mid-day lunch is included in course fees for the days lesson.
We eat in the terrace and the food is produced by Ms. Rosa, Casteggio it cooks divinely and brings us lunch.

Linate Airport: (Minimum 1 ½ hours by car from Lausanne Mornico)

When planning your trip, consider that it takes at least two hours and half between Malpensa and Pavia.
